FDA approves Vetter Pharma client drug

Vetter Pharma Fertigung GmbH & Co, based in Ravensburg, has been granted approval by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the production of a new client drug. Vetter will now be filling injection systems with the new drug at its Ravensburg Vetter South facility.

“The FDA approval is an important step in our corporate development,” said Thomas Otto, Vetter’s Managing Director. This means that the company can continue expanding its business and securing jobs and investments in the region. The company, which has grown to provide a total of around 1,900 jobs over the last few years, works on behalf of numerous international pharmaceutical and biotech companies from Europe, USA, Canada and Japan, filling sterile, prefilled injection systems with drugs.

The latest FDA-approved drug is being produced in the award winning Ravensburg Vetter South facility, which was put into operation in 2007. The company invested over 100 million euros in the establishment of the new facility and has created 200 new jobs.
