The Tübingen-based software company is one of 750 members listed in the first “Lexikon der deutschen Weltmarktführer” (Encyclopedia of German Global Market Leaders). The encyclopedia was presented in Schwäbisch Hall at the end of January 2011.
German companies are global leaders in one of three different industrial sectors. 750 of these companies have now been included in the “Encyclopedia of German Global Market Leaders”. The encyclopedia, which is over 690 pages long, is published by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt and Professor Dr. Bernd Venohr. Together with Robert Friedmann, chairman of the Würth Group board of directors, and Steffen Schoch, managing director of Wirtschaftsregion Heilbronn-Franken GmbH, Dr. Langenscheidt and Professor Venohr presented the encyclopedia at the Würth art gallery at the end of January 2011.The encyclopedia provides a unique insight into the elite of German industry, including the automotive, renewable energies and pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors. The innovation power and high quality of the processes in these sectors together represent the internationally recognised “Made in Germany” seal of quality. In cooperation with the publishers, an advisory board consisting of eight well-known figures from industry associations, the media, research institutions and the financial sector determined the layout of the encyclopedia and selected the companies to be included. The Federation of German Industries (BDI) is a partner of the book project.“We are proud to have been included in this elect circle of German global market leaders, an achievement that is down to our Cologne-based subsidiary’s in situ technology division,” said Hölle & Hüttner CEO Dr. Steffen Hüttner. “Our laboratory device sales and production business division has become an important, long-term part of our activities and the inclusion of our company in the encyclopedia shows that this division is also highly regarded outside the company.” Hölle & Hüttner AG is also optimistic about future developments in the field of software development; especially as the company has an increasing number of contracts for IT services. Companies, notably in the life science and automotive sectors, contract the Tübingen-based software developers for their expertise in software projects, and their support in projects that require software expertise and the implementation of client-specific applications. Hölle & Hüttner AG is continually developing, particularly in the field of automation, and is currently in a position to bring its long-standing experience in automation to the newly established field of programmable logic controllers (PLC).
