The new course will be available for 25 first-year students and be offered every year. Karsten Urban, Academic Dean at the University of Ulm, is sure that these students will have excellent career prospects: “In particular the regional pharmaceutical industry has signalled and predicted high requirements for graduates in this field.” Renowned pharmaceutical producers, including Boehringer Ingelheim, had encouraged the faculty to establish the course and were also involved in its development.

According to Urban, the new course offers the graduates access to careers in economy and industry (medical trials, approval procedures or product development) as well as in the civil service.
