Our focus at BioTeSys is on biological and functional analysis of bioactive substances. This means identifying the functional components of substances and mixtures, and investigating their effects. When new applications are discovered, they can be improved and enhanced with selected components. This is particularly useful in the fields of cosmetics, nutrition including functional food, health claim substanciation and nutraceuticals as well as consumer health care products.
BioTeSys started up in an university environment, aiming to offer a comprehensive service and orienting itself to customer needs. Equipped with the most modern technologies and up-to-date expertise, BioTeSys offers a service that is uniquely comprehensive - extending from chemical analysis to cellular biological and organotypic models, and including (GCP compliant) clinical studies - to develop defined
combinations of effective substances, rawmaterials, as well as verifying new products commissioned by customers.
The modular design of the services enable flexible respond to results and modified inquiries, and provides additional transparency in project assignment. All of the services involved are subject to a quality management system meeting the strict GLP and ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines.
