After the first successful edition of the German Cancer Research Congress in early 2019, the 2. German Cancer Research Congress will take place on 18 and 19 October 2021 as a virtual conference.

Again, the German Cancer Society, German Cancer Aid and the DKFZ will organise the congress together with their networks, the CCC Network, the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK), the National Centres for Tumour Diseases (NCT) and the AEK to present the performance of oncological research in Germany.

There will be 4 Sessions on the new developments in Cancer Prevention, Basic Cancer Research, Preclinical Cancer Research and Early Clinical Cancer Research. In addition, serveral Workshops and a Poster Exhibition will provide insights into the exciting field of cancer research.

Although the Corona pandemic has made it more difficult to plan events, we will make every effort to once again offer an attractive platform for cancer researchers to present excellent cancer research, network and interact at the 2nd German Cancer Research Congress.

The following speakers for our four plenary sessions are already confirmed:

  • Uta Höpken, Berlin
  • Lena Illert, Freiburg
