Privately owned DIARECT AG was established in Freiburg in 1998. The company has long-standing expertise in the development, large-scale production and worldwide distribution of key components for in-vitro diagnostic assays.

These crucial components are recombinant and native proteins, modified proteins or nucleic acids that are used as antigens in various assays for non-invase diagnosis of autoimmune and infectious diseases as well as allergies. DIARECT is an expert in using the baculovirus/Sf9 expression system for the production of recombinant antigens and allergens, however, additional systems are established for particular expression requirements. Since 2000 DIARECT is exclusive distributor of SurModics IVD’s protein stabilization reagents and blockers in Europe. These high quality products maintain the stability of proteins by preserving their conformation in the native folded state. Additional products enhance the performance of multiplexed assays, e.g., microspheres and protein microarrays. In 2009 the portfolio was completed by the distribution of BioFX ready-to-use assay substrates for microwell- and membrane applications.
Providing customers with products and services of constantly high quality is one of the cor-nerstones of DIARECT's philosophy.

Therefore, all products are developed, produced and distributed according to a Quality Management System that is certified for compliance with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards.
