NMI Naturwissenschaftliches und Medizinisches Institut an der Universität Tübingen

The natural and medical science institute (NMI) Reutlingen was founded in 1985 and employs over 150 people today. The institute is involved in the development of cutting-edge technologies in its core competences (pharma and biotechnology, biomedical technology, and surface and interface technology). As a contract research organisation (CRO), our know-how is transferred into industrial applications. Services in the field of applied science and research are the number one priority and no job is too small – or too large. NMI’s scientists, technicians and engineers give the same commitment to small projects as they do to complex projects carried out in cooperation with several partners. The NMI operates in-between two distinct interfaces, between knowledge-oriented research and purpose-oriented application and between life sciences and material sciences and is part of the newly founded innovation alliance Baden-Württemberg.
