Call for Expression of Interest until 31st of July, 2025

PRECISEU is an EU project aimed at accelerating the development of personalized healthcare, particularly in the field of novel therapies. Within this framework, four Joint Interregional Projects will officially launch in 2026 and run for three years. These projects offer opportunities for mentoring and individual support, matchmaking for the formation of project consortia, Europe-wide collaboration, as well as preparation for the PRECISEU funding call. Currently, the call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) is open — a non-binding invitation for interested parties to participate with their project ideas and products in order to contribute to the Joint International Projects. The application deadline is July 31st, 2025.

An interdisciplinary team of researchers from the Universities of Tübingen and Heidelberg is developing an innovative gene therapy method using biodegradable, magnetic nanopropellers. These innovative nanopropellers can effectively deliver intact genes into the affected cells, offering a potential solution for treating genetic disorders of this kind.

Researchers at Heidelberg University Hospital, in collaboration with colleagues from the Friedrich Loeffler Institute, have been able to show for the first time using state-of-the-art imaging techniques how the replication compartments of the Ebola virus change during replication in infected cells.
