Do you have a strong interest in the field of healthcare and life sciences and would like to learn how to start your own business? You want to use your know-how and competences to make a difference? The MedTech Startup School will show you how!

From an idea to a validated business model in only 100 days: from July 7th till October 15th participants from all over the world with different academic backgrounds and skill-sets are going to develop innovative solutions and business models for current challenges faced within the health industry. All communication will be in English and variety of events will give you the chance to make a lot of new contacts and experience a summer in Tübingen that might change your life...

The MedTech Startup School aims to create entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do atmosphere whilst supporting potential entrepreneurs by giving them the competences needed to develop, manage and implement innovative projects within the healthcare industry. You will learn step by step how to build a validated business model, how to find, question and satisfy customers/users of innovative products or services. Besides, you can use a comfortable and modern co-working space at all times and you are encouraged to make use of the innovation lab equipped with 3D printer, VR glasses and workbench to possibly build your first prototype or minimum viable product (MVP).

You can either apply with your own startup idea in the broad field of healthcare and life science (this includes medical technologies, healthy living, active ageing, digital health, etc.). To get inspired, take a look at last year´s projects under "Projects" at the web page. If you don't have a startup idea yourself, you can still participate and simply join one of the other projects which will be presented during the On-Boarding workshop on July 7th.

Workshops will be on Mondays (10 am – 4 pm), Tuesdays (4.30 pm- 8.30 pm) and Thursdays (4.30 pm – 8.30 pm). As the program is quite intensive and aims to make your idea become reality, you should also reserve some extra time to apply your learnings into action. The 100 days of Healthcare Innovation end with the Demo Day on October 15th. Teams who successfully reached the various milestones get the opportunity to present the results of their work, i.e. the potential of their start-up to be to investors, industry representatives, medical doctors and scientists.

The program is free of charge and takes place in Tübingen. If eligible/needed, you can receive up to 15 credit points (ECTS) and a "Certificate of Attendance" for your participation.
